Now Hiring: PROJECT ARCHITECT

ddb Workshop is seeking a Project Architect for our growing team. ddb Workshop is an architecture and development firm based in Baltimore City serving clients throughout Maryland, Virginia, Delaware, and Washington, D.C. We are an award winning practice with a reputation as a firm with creative solutions for various typologies, including commercial, residential, multi-family, and forensic projects. 

Our ideal candidate has a strong background in design and construction, is motivated to learn and excel, enjoys working collaboratively, and possesses excellent communication skills. The Project Architect will be involved in all aspects of project delivery, from conceptual design through construction administration. This is an exciting opportunity for career growth and leadership potential in a growing firm. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Baltimore, MD.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Principal and other staff to satisfy project needs

  • Production of design drawings, construction documents, client presentations

  • Participate in meetings with clients and coordination with consultants

  • Support permitting processes, oversee submittals and RFIs

  • Conduct site visits and surveys using personal transportation


Qualifications:

  • Professional degree in Architecture from an accredited program

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience working at an architecture firm

  • Professional Licensure preferred

  • Understanding of building codes, documentation, and construction detailing

  • Proficiency in Revit; Familiarity or proficiency with SketchUp, AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, Bluebeam, and 3D visualization

  • Strong verbal, written, and visual communication skills

  • Aptitude for problem solving and collaboration in a small team environment

  • Applicant should live within a reasonable commute to Baltimore City, Maryland

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary commensurate with experience; hiring range $75,000 to $110,000 annually
